Mogoșa is a ski resort and touristic area in Maramureș, close to Şuior and Cavnic resorts. It is a year-round destination for tourists attracted by summer and winter sports or by various entertainment and relaxation opportunities.
In the summertime, the main attractions are Lake Bodi and the surrounding Gutâi Mountains. Adventurous tourists can try several hiking trails in Gutin and Creasta Cocoşului Massifs and practice extreme sports, such as paragliding, while those who seek relaxation can swim in the pool in Lake Bodi, hire boats or water bikes.
During winter tourists can skate on the lake or ski on Mogoșa Slope, which boasts with 2.2km of slopes for beginner and advanced skiers, served by a chairlift and two ski lifts. Once on top of Mogoșa Slope, skiers can descend only the upper part of the slope and take Moski ski lift to the top or descend the whole slope to its base and take the chairlift back to Mogoșa Peak. Moski Slope, which is actually the upper part of Mogoșa Slope, is equipped with a separate ski lift. In order to get to the base of Moski ski lift, tourists have to take the ski lift from Şuior resort. Another option is to take the chairlift from Mogoșa, get to the top of the slope and descend on a steep slope, recommended only to experienced skiers. Both beginner and advanced skiers can participate in individual and group ski classes held by qualified trainers.

How to get to:
Mogoșa is situated 17km east from Baia Mare. From here, take DN18 road and, 3km after you pass by Baia Sprie, turn right on DJ183C to Mogoșa.
