Neptun-Olimp is a summer resort in the southern part of the Black Sea’s shore, often considered a single town, though it is comprised of two different seaside resorts, Olimp in the north and Neptun in the south.
Olimp was built in 1973 as an exclusivist and elegant resort, being considered one of the most expensive, beautiful and classy resorts in Romania. Nowadays Olimp is not so crowded anymore, being visited predominantly by tourists in search of a relaxing vacation. The beach has fine sand, especially in the northern part, close to the presidential beach, and the entry in the water is very smooth.
Neptun is one of the most desirable of the Black Sea resorts, being almost as attractive for tourists as Mamaia. It has two artificial lakes, Neptun I and Neptun II, connected by an alley which leads to the beach in Neptun, which is separated in half by a defence. The part of the beach on the left of the defence is wider and the entry in the water is very smooth, while the part of the beach on the right of the defence is narrower and the entry in the sea is more abrupt. The beach is equipped with waterslides, beach bars and restaurants. Have fun jet skiing and wind surfing during the day and go bowling in the evening. There are opportunities to take special thalassotherapy cures, or treatment with Gerovital and Aslavital, famous Romanian products which prevent premature ageing and reinvigorate the body.
