Șuior is a small winter mountain resort in Maramureș, situated very close to Mogoşa and Cavnic. Located at an altitude of 668m, in the heart of Gutâi Mountains, Șuior is the perfect choice for winter sports’ enthusiasts.

In the winter, you can practice tubing and skiing, the ski tracks having an average difficulty. The tracks have a total length of 3.600m, are equipped with artificial snow installation (on a length of 2.700m), night lighting installation (on a length of 1500m), a funicular and even a baby-ski track for beginners and children. At the altitude of 1.000m, there is a 100m long tubing track. Tourists who don’t know how to ski can take classes for ski instructors. Ski and snowboard equipments can be rented from the rental centre of the nearby tourist complex.

If you choose to visit Șuior in the summer, you will discover a quiet resort where you can relax or explore the surrounding mountains. Whether you choose to go hiking, biking, motor biking, taking ATV ride or opt for team or individual activities and sports, such as football, handball, volleyball, basketball, tennis or even paintball, you will find all the necessary facilities.

How to get to:

Șuior is situated 18km east from Baia Mare. From here, take DN18 road and, 3km after you pass by Baia Sprie, turn right on DJ183C to Șuior.
