Situated in a calm bay just north of Mangalia, Saturn is a small resort on the shore of the Black Sea, built at the beginning of the 1970s. It has four gulfs with small beaches with fine sand, as well as a longer beach, spreading on 1.2km towards Venus resort, which is bordered by a lake called Balta Saturn. The entry in the sea is smooth alongside the entire beach. The beach in Saturn is sought by numerous tourists, as it also has water from hypothermal sulphurous mineral springs being piped through showers on the beach. The air, the sea water, the spring water and the mud are used in various health treatments, including helio-, thalasso-, hydro-, kinetic-, electro- and termo-therapy.

Apart from the fine sand on the beach, in Saturn you can find two holiday villages (Dunărea and Delta), a trailer camp, restaurants, bars, an aqua park with pools and slides, summer gardens, sport courts (mini golf, tennis), open-air cinemas, amusement parks, discos and bars.
