Situated in the southern part of the Romanian shore of the Black Sea, Venus is a quiet and family-oriented resort. Inaugurated in 1972, it is a welcoming and elegant resort, not very crowded, which ensures a relaxing stay for tourists.
The beach, fragmented by numerous gulfs, is 1.2km long and has smooth sand. In its northern part, towards Cap Aurora, the access in the water is rocky, which makes this place less populated and more intimate. In its southern end, towards Saturn, the beach is wider and it also has water from hypothermal sulphurous mineral springs being piped through showers on the beach. There is also a possibility for heliotherapy and thalassotherapy. In the south of the resort, there is a pavilion for mud and sulphurous baths, as well as a stud farm (in Mangalia).
Among the available entertainment facilities, Venus benefits from a cinema, football and tennis fields, mini golf courses, bars and clubs. Water sports enthusiasts can try outdoor activities such as yachting, wind-surfing and canoeing.
