Sabres is one of the best restaurants specialized in Italian and Mediterranean cuisine and the only fish restaurant in Timișoara. Situated in a residential area, 5 minutes away by car from the Orthodox Cathedral in the city centre, Sabres attracts numerous guests in search of fresh and tasty culinary delights.
Fish and seafood are the stars of the restaurant, and you should not miss the chance to try one of the numerous dishes in the rich fish menu. They have been carefully designed and prepared by the restaurant’s Italian chef, Teodoro Prete, whose skills and vast experience in the field have given birth to original combination of tastes and colours. We recommend you to try Chef’s Teodoro Prete salad (shrimps, feta cheese, red pepper, tomatoes and spices) and risotto and, if you come here in couples, you can also opt for the Adriatica Plate for two, which includes calamari, shrimps, octopus, cuttlefish, sword fish, tuna and dorada. For guests who want to try something different, Sabres also offers non fish menus, suitable for those who prefer meat-based dishes as well as for vegetarians. Accompanying your dish with a pairing wine and finishing the meal with a fine dessert will contribute to a close to perfect culinary experience.
Whether you want to eat indoors or enjoy the outdoor summer terrace, have a drink at the bar or stay away from the cigarette smoke in the chambre séparée, all the corners of the restaurant transmit the special, refined Mediterranean atmosphere. These venues can be used for small gatherings (up to 25 guests in the bar), but also for larger private parties and corporate events (60 guests in the restaurant and up to 100 on the outdoor terrace).

In the centre of Timișoara, less than 5 minutes away from the Banat Museum and the Romanian National Opera, you will find Pinguin Restaurant. Specialized on the Arab, and especially Lebanese, cuisine, the restaurant is a popular venue among those who want to enjoy a great meal, a flavoured nargile (hookah) and a lively atmosphere.
The restaurant’s menu also includes international dishes, but it would be a shame to come here and not to try the strangely-named beetroot mutabal (with yoghurt cream and sesame sauce), moujadra (rice, green lentils and onion) or Rass Asfour with beaf, onions and tomato sauce, just to name a few Lebanese gastronomic delights.
If you like the oriental atmosphere at Pinguin Restaurant, you can organize your private events here. Seating up to 60 people, the restaurant is suitable for baptism parties or anniversaries.
